Chai, coffee machine in Chawri Bazaar, old Delhi.

I am a freelance editor and writer. After shunting my worldly belongings  between the India and the USA half-a-dozen times, I settled in New Delhi, where I’ve been based for several years. Despite not-so-secret dreams of being an artist or musician, I’ve kept myself busy and relatively solvent through such endeavors as working at The Caravan in Delhi, and editing Time Out Delhi magazine. I have degrees in journalism, from Columbia University, and in anthropology and critical theory from Swarthmore College. Past and present interests include art, anthropology, literature, languages, social movements, music and everything Delhi.
