I’m a freelance writer and editor based in New York City.

I’ve led and been part of editorial teams at print and digital platforms in New Delhi, India and in New York. I write on literature, language, food and drink, travel, the arts, urban life, and sometimes other stuff.

I was born in the Washington D.C. area. I attended Swarthmore College, and later the Columbia University School of Journalism.

Joined the team establishing VICE India as senior desk editor. Was promoted to Executive Editor – News due to demonstrated abilities during a management crisis. Launched the website, led editorial staff and liaised with VICE globally until the company shut its Delhi office. Declined transfer to Mumbai. (Until August 2018)
