About Me

I’m a freelance writer and editor in New Delhi, where I’ve lived and worked almost continuously since 2005.

Before that, I grew up as a 1.5-generationer, mostly in the Washington D.C. area. I attended Swarthmore College, where I studied anthropology, and I later studied journalism at Columbia University.

I have experience working in print magazines and for digital platforms. I write on literature and language, food and drink, travel and the arts, urban life (particularly in Delhi), and occasionally other subjects.
